Convention Center Management
The City of Sioux Falls, South Dakota had negotiated a 10 year convention center management agreement for their convention center with the group that had built the convention center hotel. The contract was nearing the expiration date for the management agreement. The City of Sioux Falls decided to seek proposals for convention center management for the next three years. Destination Services was engaged to:
- Analyze the operations of the convention center under the current management contract
- Conduct a competitive analysis
- Develop an analysis of the potential for revenue growth
- Prepare a Request for Proposals
- Secure potential bidders
- Evaluate proposals
- Arrange an on-site presentation by the final two bid respondents
- After selection of successful respondent, prepare a list of terms for negotiation
- Conduct contract negotiations
- Finalize contract points
